Repaired to Match, Not Just Patched
Hardwood floors are a popular choice for many homeowners because of their natural beauty and durability, but they're still susceptible to damage — scratches, gouges, water damage, and discoloration among them. Our crew specializes in hardwood lacing (weaving new boards into an existing floor so the repair is invisible) and can fix most scratches without a full refinish.
For minor scratches and gouges, a wood filler or touch-up marker is often enough. If a floor has many scratches or gouges, it may be time for a full refinishing — sanding down the surface and applying a new finish such as polyurethane. That's a challenging, messy job, which is exactly why most homeowners hire it out rather than attempt it themselves.
Water damage ranges from minor to severe. Minor staining can sometimes be drawn out by ironing a cloth over it; more severe damage means removing and replacing the affected boards. If a floor has warped or buckled from water exposure, it's important to address the problem quickly, before it spreads to the rest of the room.
When boards are damaged beyond a simple fill, we remove the affected boards and install new ones milled to match the species, width, and finish of the surrounding floor — that matching is what makes a repair disappear instead of standing out as a patch.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a damaged hardwood board really be replaced without it showing?
In most cases, yes — that's what hardwood lacing is. We weave new boards milled to match your existing floor's species, width, and stain into the damaged area, then finish it to match, so the repair blends into the surrounding floor instead of standing out as a patch.
My floor has water damage — does the whole floor need to be replaced?
Not usually. Minor water staining can sometimes be drawn out; more significant damage means removing and replacing only the affected boards. Only warping or buckling that's spread across a large area typically calls for anything close to a full replacement. If your floor has warped, address it quickly — it gets harder to fix the longer moisture sits underneath.
Can you fix deep scratches and gouges without refinishing the whole room?
Often, yes. Minor scratches and gouges can usually be handled with wood filler and a touch-up stain matched to your floor. If damage is widespread across a room, a full refinish becomes the more practical option — we'll tell you honestly which situation you're in.
Do you repair stair treads and risers, not just flat flooring?
Yes. Stair treads, risers, and landings take some of the heaviest daily wear in a house, and hand-fitting replacement treads is a regular part of our repair work.
Do you offer financing for repair work?
Yes. Financing is available up to $55,000, with interest-free options starting from $30 a month, subject to approval.
