Gray French Oak

Gray French Oak is a 7 1/2" wide, 1/2" thick engineered European Oak floor with a lightly wirebrushed surface and a 3mm wear layer. It's milled tongue-and-groove with micro-beveled edges and ends, backed by a 30-year warranty, and installs by glue-down, floating, nailing, or stapling.

Gray French Oak isn't a true cold gray — look closely and there's a warm taupe-brown undercurrent running through the grain, which is why it reads more like weathered driftwood than concrete under normal light. The wirebrushing here runs heavier than on our lighter boards; you can see the grooves catching shadow even in a photo, and underfoot they're pronounced enough to feel through a sock. Cathedral grain sweeps through several boards along with the occasional knot, so the surface has real movement instead of a flat, repeating pattern. This is the floor we point people toward when they're pairing dark cabinetry or black hardware with something that won't compete for attention — it grounds a room instead of brightening it, and it hides everyday scuffs better than any pale floor in this lineup ever will.
