Country Edinburgh is a natural-grade, 7" wide white oak engineered plank finished with 8 coats of Sherwin-Williams aluminum-oxide finish in a matte sheen. It's made in Tennessee with zero added formaldehyde, backed by a 100-year finish warranty, and independently tested as the #1 ranked floor for scratch resistance.

There's a hush to this floor that's hard to get from a sample chip — the color sits in that quiet zone between blonde and grey, closer to driftwood than honey, and it changes very little from board to board, which is unusual for white oak. Grain is present but restrained, fine lines running the length of each plank rather than bold arches, and the matte finish keeps every bit of it soft instead of glossy.
